I was wondering if it was at all possible to have a Ghost mode...

Basically you could set all your characters, Waypoints etc then test the map and walk around as if you were not there.

It would be a great way to check everything looks ok and all the characters are doing as they should without having actually shoot your way through to check its all ok ? I don't know how hard this would be to implement but I think it would be a great addition..

Anyone else have any thoughts on this

I would think this would be easy just a bit of lua to make player visible to the AI cone or lee could place it in the start marker.

hmm well you can set player health to -1 (or less) but the screen will be red... don't think we can turn that new feature off

Would setting the AI cone to Zero have any effect if they could see you? Im thinkign the cone is the radius they can see/detect you, thus with NO cone, they are blind?

you can in fact do it just now just change view cone and view range to -1 but im sure a lua could be made so all AI are changed at the same time.

But wouldn't you have to do that to all enemies individually ?

I have changed a few to the Neutral lua and they look at you but do nothing but to do them all ..then put them back after would be a bit of a pain

Yes until some clever person makes a lua or lee adds it to the start marker.

I will be doing it this way anyway as each of my Ai will have different view range

It would be in fact easier for lee to do this as he could just set the camera/player to invisible via the start marker.

setting health to -1 stops the enemies from killing you though, just a shame the screen is red, i was just trying to think of a way to do it easily without needing new features, i agree a real ghost mode would be nice

if all you want is the screen not to go red just don't put down a start marker

Nice one TattieBoJangle that does actually work

The reason I thought about this was because I set some waypoints and the characters did not appear to be following the routes so although visually I can now see perfectly they still attack me so im still trying to see what there up to ....But its still very helpful thanks

Then you wont have a start maker to set player heath?

You could do it as you describe using health find the damage hud and replace it with a fully transparent texture while you wait for a proper fix.

A funny thing happened on the way to the forum...

Pressing F11 and then 7 allows you to turn the AI on and off.

Thanks SC ye that does work as well

the only problem there is the enemy just stand there....I really wanted to see them walking the waypoints I had set but even that's a good option and allows me to check the map...

I just wanted to blend in invisible to see whats going on with the waypoints if that makes sense. There are a few that just don't seem to be doing their thing. At the moment im starting the map far away and trying to watch them from a hill but some seem to need you to be in a certain range before they walk the waypoints

The GHOST MODE in the Player Start Marker and LUA command is a great suggestion. I have added it to the list as a B priority. Thanks!

Awesome thanks Lee... As Reloaded develops and gets more complex it will be a great addition for testing in the future

Isn't this the same as just pressing F9 and setting gravity off during test mode?

No im talking about walking around your map and checking everything including the characters walking the waypoints.... Basically full interaction without being attacked like a walk in the park

You can view your map other ways as noted above but you either get attacked or the characters just stand there....In the future we may have vehicles moving, Pedestrians, Interactive items and many other things so it would be nice to have this feature early-ish as reloaded progresses

Well you can change their view RANGE instead of their angle. If you change the range to like 20 or something they will never see you.

Yes that was mentioned above ...But if you have 50 troops ingame you would have to do them one at a time....then change them back again once you were happy. Its not really an ideal way of doing it

Lee's all for it so I think he can see a benefit there as well
