How do I fix the textures when I lift the ground?

They stretch too much and are really horrible

I tried to paint with sand or rock, but the result does not change

This is a known bug, it is on Lee's list of things to fix. Afraid there is no way to sort this at the moment.

@all : If anyone has any suggestions how we can create a 'horizontal UV mapping for the rock texture within the terrain shader to improve that stretching artifact, I am keen to get some inspiration!

You could try Tri-planar mapping not sure if reloaded could make use of this or not but its one way

Great suggestion. I found a link which explained it to me enough that I can turn it into 'shader speak' (http://www.volume-gfx.com/volume-rendering/triplanar-texturing/) Thanks again!

Lee I just love the way you have no fear of saying " I don't Know " and ask opinions within the community... Its a rare thing ...Most developers are to high and mighty to even consider such an action.
