It is vital you back-up your work and custom media files before installing newer betas. We are still developing this software and as such the file formats are not finalized. One important thing to note is that you cannot save a level in V1.006 and load it back into V1.005, just as you soon won't be able to save a level in V1.007 and then load that level into an earlier V1.006 engine should you choose to step back a version. It is due to this that making back-ups is an important step if you are working on levels you want to keep.

PC SPECS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit, Intel Core i7 920 (PASSMARK:5008), NVIDIA Geforce 9600 GT GPU (PASSMARK:752) , 6GB RAM

When will we be able to keep levels as we install new versions (like loading v1.006 levels in v1.007). Can we do that now?

Yes, if you back up your maps by making a copy of it in a separate folder ( I have a folder on my desktop that I simply copy and paste my maps before updating) you can then place that map file back into the updated version. I also make a complete copy of all of my entities and scripts and any thing else I think I need to carry over after the update on my desktop that I update before every update.
