Is there anyway to kill a character as soon as the level starts? I want the character laying on the floor dead from the start.

As character animations are hard coded at the moment I've tried messing about the character setting but with no luck.

Any help gratefully received.

there is no death animation yet, even if you die in the game normally you simply respawn.

Sorry smallg I didn't explain it very well, I don't mean the player, I meant the NPC characters

I believe character animations, as with all animated objects, run in numerical sequences according to the frame numbers assigned to them. So perhaps frames 0-300 would be, for example, an idle animation, that is, standing still and prepared for an action to come. Then maybe 301-900 might be a walking sequence, 901-1500 a running sequence, 1501-2000 an attack sequence and so forth and so on. I am not sure exactly how each sequence would be scripted to trigger the action, but if you ever put the stock enemy characters in a program such as fragmotion, you can see for yourself how these animations are sequenced as they would play in that program one following the next. Use the examples in the FPSCR folders to the best of your ability and I would encourage you to keep inquiring some of the fine modelers here of their techniques - I'm confident that you will easily accomplish your task!

All you need is love....so let me have your burger.

no it doesnt work yet but you can see the list of animations in the entity bank\characters\animations.txt

i believe right now they use gen_whatever

so in 1.007 if you add a script with
it should be a dead guy
