What happens if I want to do a space ship game and want no terrain will there be this option in future releases.

I think we are some way off a space game, and keeping our feet on the ground is a good idea for now Once we have better editing controls, I will be happy to have a mode to completely hide the terrain and allow infinite falling

I don't think he's talking about an actual game where you're flying/falling around in space; rather a game where the inside of corridors, etc. IS the game. No need for extra geometry in the scene that won't be utilized. Think of having your game in a space station, for example.

not sure if i'm completely understanding the request but could you not edit the current terrain file to be invisible or maybe edit it to pure black and treat it as a background?

just a theory rather than a suggestion but it might work... maybe

In the case of an internal corridors and rooms level, you can use the superflatterrain=1 in SETUP.INI to completely skip all terrain systems. It will replace terrain with a single quad that stretches over the universe at 1000 units high. You can then place all your corridors, rooms and other game assets on that without worrying about terrain geometry you don't need
