Putting a whole town in this volcano type structure. Have three levels Started.

The Launch bay level where the ships can enter and exit.

The Ship storage area which will be works shops and storage, plus the animated crane which is going ok for the first test. Some syncing to do with the hook and the cab.

And the lower level which was sculpted in the editor terrain edit mode while I had the outer shell on. Then removed the outer shell and fine tuned the sculpt in test game mode, making individual spaces for machinery and prison section and some water spots for something I am sure I will come up with.

The long and the short of the test is to see how much environment I can get a way with as whole sections inserted at once. I am getting around 20 to 30 fps with full shaders on. I will be interested to see what improvements will be with the next beta release.

My Specs:

Win7 pro 64 bit

Intel core 2 quad Q6600 @ 2.4GHz

4 gb Ram

Nvidia Gforce GTX 660

@ All: Thanks.

I am about 6 days into it. Learning a lot about what to place in the map first so I don't have to erase things, or to place other thing under stuff or make changes. I am just about finished with the next level which is the power genera

Level Update:

More updates on the complex 2 test. Added the prison area with the stock fences, Made some prison doors and put them in there. Sculpted the terrain around them and the is a great dungeon start. Added some storage tanks for fill and completed the elevator shaft and doors. Player can not go on it yet. Will not follow it. Falls thru the platform.

Also got the generator area made and the generators are stock FPSC entities converted to reloaded and I fixed the mesh so it looks a lot better.

On more level to go. Sleeping Quarters, Some labs, Cafeteria, some planning room or control room and an escape hatch to the roof.

I am guessing that I am about getting to the limit for this level as I have had to turn down the terrain shader to high to maintain 24 fps.

I believe it might be collision slowing things up, as I come to fencing and My stairs at the upper levels drop FPS until I get to the next level.

But all in all I am happy with the amount of game area that can be generated. Even if I can have 6 smaller complex structures spread thru out the map, then there will still be a lot of game play.
