As a complete novice , what would be the best software to use (with fairly decent resuslts) so that i can make static entities for FPSC:R

Sorry if this has been asked before , I couldn't find anything on the topic.

Many thanks.

blender is great and is free.

Has also a option to export to directx.

A lot of tutorials to find on youtube or anywhere.

Milkshape is also a very good program. not free, but cheap. and can export to directx

Fragmotion. you can use for free, besides the annoying popup.

deled

wings3d.

Personally i would choose and start to learn with blender.

If you have enough money. 3ds max. or maya.

Oh and harry , after you ticked the little box , then close that and go back to file>export , the option should be there to export as a .x file :3

@gazza89

As a complete newbie myself I had a look at all the 3D programs myself and the one I settled on for ease of use was MilkShape.

This is a very self explanatory program with a very easy learning curve. I got to grips with it

@ almightyhood, I'll get something up asap. Been thinking about something in this vein already, but your post has reminded me

I use Blender, I found it quite hard to get into, as I was used to 3ds Max 3. That no longer works on newer OS's so found

I use 3D Studio Max 2012 but to purchase the latest version costs like 3 grand...

So its best to use programs like Blender (free) and Milkshape. Good thing about blender is youtube has tons of tutorials.
