Just Played with entity's to try and bust it

and yes after a lot of work I did bust it but I really

have a strong feeling that its not entity related I have a feeling that

it might be polygon related or vertex not sure maybe Rick or Lee could figure it out the other possibility is that it relates to entity's intersecting the

ground or how many mountains and how many polly's they are generating.



I did notice in a map that I made that if you spray entity's over the ground

it doesn't feel as tho you get as many before it stops.

any way these videos might be of interest.

1800 Doors and then I added aprox 2000 barrels I would guess that these

figures are far more then most uses have tried to put into there maps so far.

fantastic stuff m8, I would send this on to rick or lee or some1 maybe they can use it for examples of ability aswell as to solve a entity adding problem m8?! I think the falling is abit slow still in game maybe though but great vids but seriously how much time did that take lmao ??

I have been playing around with the Alpha. I have well over 5000 entities in the world so far without major problems. I have noticed a seemingly random failure when creating entity AI, at run game. Will crash with the error message window "BEHIND" the main reloaded window. Took me a few minutes to actually notice the error window. Anyway, it may crash several times in a row but eventually will load up and run. Doesn't seem to have anything to do with the actual models or scripts because it is totally random and might crash this time and immediately run it correctly the next time you load it so............



I have also had to start turning off the collision (change mode to 11) to the vast majority of my trees or the frame rate falls through the floor. I guess I need to decide which things must have collision and which things, such as the trees and scenery I will never get close to, don't need it at all. If we can someday have models with separate parts and textures it would help the tree situation a lot. You can have collision on for the low poly trunk but leave it off for those high poly leaves.

Great barrel video, apart from the slow phase the physics work well.

I was reading that because you used all the same items x999 doors x999 barrels lets say as they are using the same texture ect that's why you aren't hitting that limit that some of us are getting
