tonight I have managed to learn how to import custom textures for the ground

however there is a problem doing this with reloaded alpha, no idea if it is the same in previous betas but, if you paint over a custom texture with the path or rock it does not show or change the map, in edit mode or 3d edit mode.

if you then change back to a default texture for the ground like lush the changes are there, but not with the custom texture for the ground .

is there some way to fix this or has it not happened to others when using them?

it seems grass is ok to paint onto the texture though.

have fun stay safe

Yes this is my problem too.the map shiny a lot when I change to my terrain textures... Like this increase the specular a lot in all textures.I can adjust a bit if I change the surface colorsb but is not the same thing, all maps turn to more dark

A specular map should be in the diffuse texture's alpha channel, using this will remove the 'shine' from terrain textures.

Rolfy

thank you very much! You was right , you just must have alpha channel in difuse texture!so you can control specular this way!but in entities you must have specular texture(_S) correct?

thank you
