just wondering what the goal for the end product is as far as flexibility.

IE: will FPSCR have the ability for users to easily import weapons and

bullets (ie: arrows / rockets / catapult ammo / swords ) pending on the

type of game that they are creating and then of course if that weapon has a area effect like a grenade or rocket launcher when it hits.. so on and so on

and to follow on with the ability to enable and disable features that some users may or may not want in there game (IE: if a user doesn't want day time and night time for the type of game that they are making) will they have the ability to enable and disable said function or no blood splatter for games for kids and the ability (like in serious Sam for example to change said sprites for blood to be flowers / or alien slime pending on game type).

or the ability to zoom out from your character to 3rd person as a option prior to creating your game type, again based on game type and preference of the game creator

but I am sure you get the idea just wondering how easy items and features will

be interchangeable based on game type.

Importing new weapons via official Reloaded model packs, yes. Customizing most aspects of the engine so your game looks and feels unique, yes. Adding Third Person Perspective, no time soon We want to focus on FPS initially, get that working great. I think we have added Third Person to the voting list, so you can vote on that and if the community agree, we will add it to the engine

thank you for getting back to me lee.

one last thing I was reading your blog the

other morning about your rainforest walk and

was wondering if the idea about playing with water

had crossed your mind. IE: maybe the ability to

add water to the top or a hill and have it flow down

to the bottom like a spring. or if people wanted a fountain

have the water regenerate for a time frame before it disappears

there for giving you your length of flow.

great for burst pipes, fire hydrants, fresh water springs,

any way just another idea.

We can do spot effects with water (rain, waterfalls, splashes, rivers, springs, e.t.c) but realistic spawning water that finds it's own way down the terrain would be a tall order. I did some dabbling in this and it's very physics intensive, and I would not be thanked for the performance hit suffered by the engine. Alas, most games today just fake it Still, I'll keep thinking about it, you never know..

Faking it would be fine but those things would be nice to have some time down the road if possible.

It certainly would be good to be able 'paint' water planes, allowing for several different layers of water. Decals could be used to effectively represent waterfalls etc.

it would definitely be interesting just imagine water pools where

ever you want just scape a hole on top of a mountain...

do you think that this is something that would be do able

with scripting and the physics engine..??

I hope so and more, skyrim has you pushed down stream when in deep rivers. I know this is not the same engine and maybe not so possible? but would be nice to have running rivers from mountains and stuff.

have fun stay safe
