even new projects seem to start with the terrain I was last using. I want to start fresh, level new terrain. Any clue?

Sounds like you're using an old Beta. Download the new Beta and it will solve the problem

In the last couple of versions, you have been able to choose a new random, or flat map from the main menu. So E30Legend is probably right, or you have missed it

FPSC Reloaded BETA - 311013 (File Updated: 5th Dec 2013)

FPSC Reloaded BETA - 081113 (File Updated: 5th Dec 2013)

FPSC Reloaded BETA - 301113 (File Updated: 5th Dec 2013)

I took the top one on the list.

I think you need the last one for Beta3. I agree it's not clear and the numbering could be more informative. Fortunately I downloaded the files when they first came out so I can deduce the version from the date on the file.

Rick and Lee: are you listening?

These are dates, confusing for Americans who put the month/day/year so it would be 113013...Brits

Frankly, it should be done in standard ordinal order. Whether it is done via date, or version number.

If you release a product via standard version rules, you don't release a product version as <build>.<release>.<minor>.<major>. The same should hold true for date releases. They should be <year><month><day> *not* <day><month><year>. The first is both more intuitive (MSB to LSB), and also doesn't "jack-up" your sorting (regardless of OS you are on).

My 2 cents.

Even more confusing if you don't realise they are dates.

HAHA those are dates, well yeah, American here lol. But I did see the "File Updated: 5th Dec 2013" after each one and never even thought their file numbers were dates. thank you!

I have an advantage (at least when fully awake) as a Brit who lives in the USA

I can see the logic of the US way of abbreviating the date so all files can be sorted by month, but from a purely mathematical point of view and taking the notion that a day is smaller than a month, and a year the largest, does it not make sense that DD-MM-YY is the TRUE path

Jesting aside, I do take your point though and if I get a few requests in my blog (call to action?) then after version 201213, I will start naming the files BETA 1.005 on-wards so our ordinal brains can quickly identify our international updates.

Hogging the awesome since 1999
