I'm working on these little babies atm and apart from the player height (Verne Troyer's mini mechs lol) hence calling them suits = more fallout style.
Its getting there tho 3 separate HUD's and I've managed to script them thus far (that bit still needs work as you can't get out yet and change your suit) but all in all you could rattle up a Mech Warrior style game with them. You can use pretty much any weapon although some look better than others. Ive included one of the first HUD's in the free models and media section of the forum. More to come but ive wrecked my GG install lol so need to verify. " Ho Hum" said Poo.

This is great to see,I allways like to experiment with things.sometimes I think it's more fun than just building a strait game out of the box.

Nice going, Honkeyboy - shame about the height, but that's bound to get sorted out sooner or later.

Thanks guys, I'm working on the suit now as those were just the very old mechs i made, I'm nearly there, just needs the mouth grill filling in and rigging maybe for 3rd person just starting that bit and of course the texturing.
I did save a UV Map out with fragmotion but not started on it yet and have to learn how to color properly :/ oh and i need to redo the shoulder cannon as it hasn't turned out quite how i wanted, I'm happy with it so far though comes with backpack field radio, and of course working on a new HUD to suit and will put it in the GG pose on the next save

Pics 1/ suit so far 2/ building the mouthpiece cover 3/mouthpiece fitted(forgot to de-texture the model tho lol) 4/fitting the eyes 5/ the Dasher power suit all studded up ready for war(or maybe texturing lol) 6/ well the bones are in place (i think lol)

FINALLY!!!!!!!! after some serious late nights over the past 3 days learning rigify with blender, I've finally accomplished Making, rigging and converting my first power suit (yay missus hates me now tho) Packages used for this, Amin8or, Fragmotion, Blender, Meshlab, FBX2GG and of course GG. Just a few more tweaks and then im going to go back to the videos and try to learn to texture them properly and sort the gunspec out. I am seriously pleased with what I've actually managed to do these last few days and am going to need some serious kip to recover. (now i know what Gtox and Harry have to do to get theirs working) Respect

Thanks Dave was really hard for me the old grey matter doesn't take it in so quick nowadays. Actually when you fire up blender and load in the rigify addon it's not that big of a learning curve tbh, still a pain in the butt with all the hotkeys but I managed to rig it in probably 2 hours with watching the vids at the same time, lots of alt s and alt this and that but its doable and it actually worked which totally amazed me as ive tried before and just got lost, been playing with old papman's dark paint for the textures with some success but again its a learning curve, but credit to him its a really good painting program I hope he keeps it up.

what you having issues with the gunspec? I'm playing with that atm as well? If it the rigging I would suggest looking at Blenders rigify I would think you could just delete all the bones bar the hands/arms and get the same result I've not tried it though but when you get used to the silly hot keys its quite quick and easy, bit long winded as you have to left click and say press 1 key for scale 1 for rotate but I suppose once those are ingrained in your head you could do it very quickly.
